Why We Fundraise

Alexandra Penry, Sr. Dir. for Finance and Advancement
Welcome to Headwaters! As the school year gets underway you likely have many questions about the day-to-day of being a Headwaters family.
We hope that you’re planning to attend Headwaters 101 in the next few weeks to get some of those questions answered!

After you get your class roster, supply list, and schedule, you may start to wonder about how you can get involved as a parent. The Headwaters Development Office is a great place to come learn more about our community and lend a hand to help make our school an even more amazing place for our students to thrive.

Development at Headwaters does focus on bringing additional revenue into our school through fundraising and other activities. But we’re so much more than asking for donations. We help create community partnerships with local businesses and nonprofits, we bring enrichment activities into the student’s daily experience, and the funds that we raise help pay the teachers’ salaries and keep tuition in line with the Austin market.

And we can’t do any of it without the help of our amazing parent community. We hope that you’ll stop by our table at Headwaters 101 to learn more about how you can get involved and join us in supporting Headwaters today and into the future. Plus we have some seriously excellent swag to give away!

If you’re unable to make your Headwaters 101 event, you can learn more about the specific ways you can get involved this year by clicking here and check under “When & Where to Give.” I can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to our community in person!

Warmly,
Alexandra Penry
