ISAS Accreditation Announced

Headwaters School
We are delighted to announce that Headwaters School has been officially accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS)! Here is a note from from ISAS Executive Director Scott Griggs:

"The Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) is pleased to welcome Headwaters School as an accredited Member School. On behalf of ISAS, I heartily congratulate Ted Graf, Head of School, and the Board of Trustees, faculty, administration, staff, students, and parents on this achievement, the product of extensive and exemplary collaborative work. Headwaters is clearly committed to meeting the highest educational standards and to ongoing school improvement. Headwaters joins 93 other outstanding independent schools serving students in a six-state region, including Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. ISAS is proud to include Headwaters School as a Member School."

The path toward ISAS accreditation began in 2016, and was a true collaborative effort across the entire school. Thank you to all who participated in the self-study and accreditation processes. This membership connects us with other high quality independent schools across our region, as well as fellow educators, and we know that we will continue to grow stronger as a result of these connections, particularly during challenging times like this when we have many important decisions to make about how to best serve our students and their families. We are thankful for the guidance this body has offered from curated on-topic articles, Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) virtual meetings, facilitated communications for school leadership to work together during COVID-19, and so much more.

Headwaters School is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest, (ISAS). ISAS, a member of the International Council Advancing Independent School Accreditation (ICAISA), has voluntarily submitted to a rigorous and impartial review of its accreditation program and demonstrated its adherence to the Council’s Criteria for Effective Independent School Accreditation Practices. ISAS is commended by ICAISA for the quality of the Association’s accreditation program for its Member Schools.
