Together we can bring Headwaters to the next level

Ted Graf, Head of School
In the hustle of our everyday lives, it can be easy to focus only on what is right in front of you. Pack that lunch, run those errands, do all the adult-y things... It is more important than ever to stop, breathe, and take a moment to think about the bigger picture.
As we feature the first strategic initiative in our October fundraising campaign, we're doing just that. Please click the link below to view an announcement about the school's long-term financial health from Head of School Ted Graf and Sr. Director for Finance and Advancement Alex Penry. Then read on to learn how Headwaters is securing our future, and how you can help!

Headwaters is excited to announce that we have refinanced our debt to take advantage of current low interest rates, securing a significant debt service reduction for the next 15 years. While the School had $110,000 in out-of-pocket closing costs, the long-term savings are well worth the up-front cost. If you have questions about the new loan, or about Headwaters' finances in general, we invite you to join us for a discussion about the school as a business on Wednesday, October 14, from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m.

With this important milestone, we're excited to introduce the Headwaters Next Fund. Gifts to this fund support necessary investments in our infrastructure through debt reduction, facilities enhancements, and capital reserves. This year, gifts will help cover the closing costs on the refinance. Please consider a visionary gift to help us ensure that Headwaters continues to be the leader in peace education for generations to come.

In friendship,

Ted Graf
Head of School
