All School Cancellation 2/17
Due to below freezing conditions, all Headwaters School's Campus will be closed and all in-person and distance learning classes are canceled for Wednesday 2/17 and Thursday 2/18. Please check your email for more details.
Dear Headwaters Families,
We hope that you have been staying safe in these conditions. We have been watching the weather and power outages closely as we determine the safety and ability to have school. After careful consideration for safety and accessibility, we have decided to cancel all in-person and distance learning (Headwater@Home) classes for tomorrow, Wednesday, February 17 and Thursday, February 18, 2021. Our decision is based on the lack of electricity for 43% of homes in Austin, weather conditions and forecasts of below freezing temperatures, and new precipitation creating dangerous conditions and power/internet outages for many in our community.
River Students: Please note, any assignments that are due when we are closed will be extended.
We will continue to monitor weather conditions for Friday. If there are any other changes to our schedule, we will use our emergency text alert system, email, and social media to update you as necessary.
