Watching the Weather for Thursday 2/3 and Friday 2/4

Headwaters School
Headwaters School is watching the forecast closely after the National Weather Service issued a Winter Storm Warning for Central Texas in effect starting late tonight through Thursday afternoon.

We will continue to monitor weather conditions for tomorrow and Friday. If there are any changes to our schedule, we will use our emergency text alert system, email, and social media to update you if necessary. This page will also be updated as necessary.

If we do have school, please:
  • Allow extra time and caution on the roads in the morning.
  • Be sure students have proper (and labeled) jackets, hats, gloves, and footwear for the weather (we love this Outdoor Winter Clothing Resources created by Creek Guide Jennie Glass!), but please note that we will use caution with outside activities and limit as appropriate.
  • While we are spending more time indoors, our layered COVID-19 mitigation efforts are key in preventing spread. We will be spacing kids out as best as possible (especially while eating/drinking), keeping windows open for air flow, using our HEPA filters, and most importantly, wearing a mask correctly and consistently for those in Primary and above. Here are some tips on mask fit and style, too.
If you choose to keep your child home for any reason, please email your campuses’ attendance inbox at the links below to notify the campus manager:

Thank you,
Headwaters School
