UPDATE: 2-Hour Delay Tomorrow 2/24

Headwaters School
UPDATE: Headwaters School is now under a 2-hour delay for tomorrow (Thursday, February 24, 2022).
Update 2/23/22 at 11 p.m.
Dear Headwaters Community,

Due to an updated forecast, including hazardous conditions during the morning commute, Headwaters School is now under a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Thursday, February 24, 2022. Please allow extra time and caution on the roads in the morning to get to school.

2-Hour Delay Drop-Off Times:
  • Springs: 10:15-10:40 a.m.
    • Due to such a short day and missing the morning work period, YCC students, especially half-day YCC, may opt to not attend.
  • Creek:  EE/UE arrival between 10-10:15 a.m., K/1 arrival between 10:15-10:30 a.m.
  • River: Campus will open at 10 a.m. See here for more detailed bell schedules.
    • Middle School: 1st Period starts at 10:25 a.m.
    • High School: 2nd period will start at 11:30 a.m.
Special Notes:
  • There will be no morning shuttle on delayed start days. The afternoon shuttle will run as usual.
  • No early arrival for Springs and Creek students.
  • Please be sure students have proper (and labeled) jackets, hats, gloves, and footwear for the weather (we love this Outdoor Winter Clothing Resources created by Creek Guide Jennie Glass!), but please note that we will use caution with outside activities and limit as appropriate.
  • While we are spending more time indoors, our layered COVID-19 mitigation efforts are key in preventing spread. We will be spacing kids out as best as possible (especially while eating/drinking), keeping windows open for air flow, using our HEPA filters, and most importantly, wearing a mask correctly and consistently for those in Primary and above. Here are some tips on mask fit and style.
Staff Notes:
  • Please arrive to your campus two hours later than your usual arrival time.
If you choose to keep your child home for any reason, please email your campuses’ attendance inbox at the links below to notify the campus manager:

Thank you for your patience and safe travels,
Headwaters School
