Monday 9/26 Professional Development Recap

Headwaters School
At Headwaters, we count on our professional development days, especially those during the school year, to reflect and to re-energize ourselves.
In partnership with the Center for Leadership and Educational Equity (CLEE), all faculty and staff gathered on Monday, September 26 to connect and reset; to learn how to use protocols in order to improve our work, and to celebrate our efforts at being one school. We will continue our work with CLEE throughout the school year, and we’ll take advantage of the powers of Zoom and online learning to maintain momentum on this project. At Director’s coffees and upcoming Tacos with Ted, we’ll introduce the techniques, tools, and protocols, so parents have insight into this work. As Ted said in our opening session, “In order for Headwaters to continue to improve and evolve, especially in the shadow of COVID, we must know each other; we must see each other, and we must prepare to be vulnerable. We need space to share ideas, share our struggles and even argue constructively.” Look for updates later in the year in The Current and the Weekly Updates.
