our entire community grows stronger.
 | Classroom PartnershipAs a parent, you are an invaluable partner in your child’s education. Classroom guides will communicate regularly with you in a variety of modes, from regular class updates to semi-annual conferences and progress reports. We also rely on your insights about your child’s development, and are always receptive to emails, notes, informal conversations, and special meetings. We also encourage you to share in special events, such as field day and Singing Songs gatherings. Most parents find that investing their time in building relationships with the other parents and staff truly enriches their lives and becomes an important part of their experience in our community. |
Parent Volunteer CommunityThe Parent Volunteer Community supports all three of our campuses by building community, showing appreciation for our faculty and staff, and contributing in meaningful ways to the life of the school. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you to get involved. Our hope is that every parent finds a way to participate, because your presence matters. Joining the PVC is easy—once your child enrolls, you’re a member! The PVC is led by Campus Leaders who meet regularly to connect across campuses and share best practices. Each classroom or grade level has a dedicated Community Rep, and there are also roles focused on specific events, projects, and areas of interest. Parent Engagement Agreements
We challenge our entire Headwaters community–including students, guides, staff, parents, and trustees–to be Peacemakers, Advocates, Creators, and Thinkers. In meetings, at events, or when simply engaging in the day-to-day life of our school, we ask that all parents agree to embrace these values and the following agreements in our interactions with one another.
