8th Grade MAP Testing

River Campus | 807 Rio Grande Street, Austin, TX 78701
During the week of November 28-December 2, 8th grade students will participate in the Measurement of Academic Progress (MAP) diagnostic test by NWEA. MAP testing. This test is self-paced, done on the student's computer, and proctored by 8th grade guides during an adapted school day.
Why MAP?

MAP is a snapshot of where your child is academically at one moment in time. MAP allows us to observe academic growth over a period of time as children move through the program.

MAP Facts
  • MAP is an untimed test administered on a computer.
  • MAP is unique in that it is an adaptive assessment.
    • This means that the questions adjust in real time to your child and become progressively more or less challenging depending upon the accuracy of the student’s answers.
  • Breaks are available during the test.
