Eid al Fitr

Eid al Fitr is a three day holiday that ends the Islamic month of Ramadan. Headwaters understand that this is an important holiday for families who celebrate. Students who miss school will not be penalized. Guides will not schedule any major deadlines, tests, or required events on this holiday.
History: Eid al-Fitr is the earlier of the two official holidays celebrated within Islam. While the Qur'an does not mention the celebration of Eid, the religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide because it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan. Because the timing of the holiday is dependent on when the new moon is seen, Eid al-Fitr begins at a different time for different countries. According to the FIQH Council of North America, Eid Al Fitr will be on Wed, Apr 10, 2024.
