How to Export A Calendar
If you use Google Calendar, iCal or Outlook, we also highly recommend exporting a webcal feed of this calendar for your student (or one for each student) to be able to quickly view your daily schedule and any basic details from that calendar event.
Users can export their Calendars and add them to Google Calendar or iCal, events for the past 2 months and the upcoming 12 months will be included in the feed. Feeds are available for the entire Calendar section plus options for exporting individual calendars within a section.
Users can export a calendar from the external Calendar or get a personalized calendar by logging into the Nest (can include your child's schedule, assignment due dates, and more).
Here's how to Export your Calendar from the public Headwaters.org/Calendar page.
1. Under "EVENT CATEGORIES" and "ATHLETIC SCHEDULES" select the boxes for the calendar you wish to export, clicking "refresh" when all selections are made. For example, you may wish to choose "Elementary" and "Middle School" under Event Categories and "MS Soccer."
2. Now all the items shown are ONLY for the categories you chose.
3. At the top of the calendar page, just below the date you are viewing, you will see a small button for rss feed. It's blue and looks like half a rainbow. Click this button.
4. If you use Gmail, just click this button and your Gmail calendar will pop up in a new window with a window asking you if you wish to "Add Calendar." Click add. Then rename in settings.
If you use iCal or another native calendar, you will want to right click the rss feed button and click "Copy link address."
Go to file, "New calendar Subscription"
Paste the copied link
Click "subscribe"
Rename the calendar and add any info as prompted. You will probably want to be sure it refreshes as often as possible to be accurate (every 5 min).
Click "OK"
Now this will show up in your "Other Calendars"
If you wish to login to the Nest, you can export a personalized calendar. Here's a video showing you

Please Note:
Event categories that come from an iCal feed are not available through the outgoing calendar feeds. Events from iCal feeds may not appear in search results. Due to server caching, newly added and edited feeds may take up to an hour before they appear on the calendar. Users can select
Refresh to manually refresh the feed. The feed indicates an "in process” status while the request is processing.
Some users (including parents) may see "duplicate" events in their calendars. These duplications are usually working as designed and are not errors (not "bugs").
