Headwaters Film Department Recommends

Headwaters School
Movie award season may have come to a close last weekend, but that doesn't mean it's time to stop watching movies. In fact, Headwaters Film Department would like to share their recommendations with  the ultimate goal of showcasing movies that honor the legacies and perspectives of underrepresented voices, start important conversations that the films provoke, and celebrate the PACT.
Over the past few months, members of the Film Department have spent time creating presentations of their favorite films for Black History and Women's History Months. They encourage our community to seek these films out all year long and to learn more about them using the "fast facts" at the bottom of each slide.

Many films also link to a parents guide from IMDB if you want to learn more about this film for your child. If it doesn't, you can always use IMDB or Common Sense Media for reviews to see if the film is right for your family.

Please email Alex Chew at a.chew@headwaters.org if you would like to recommend any future films or collaborate on this monthly project.
