Vesak

Headwaters understand that this is an important holiday for families who celebrate. Students who miss school will not be penalized.
Vesak, also known as Buddha Jayanti, Buddha Purnima, Buddha Day, is a holiday traditionally observed by Buddhists in South Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as Tibet and Mongolia.

It is the most important Buddhist festival.

Buddhists in Singapore and over the world celebrate the birth, enlightenment and death of Gautama Buddha on Vesak Day, a time of joy, peace and reflection.
