Community

Parent Community

We consider every Headwaters parent to be a member of our Parent Volunteer Community (PVC), and we have many opportunities throughout the year for parents to help the school in big and small ways.

Please fill out the Parent Volunteer Interest form and we'll help connect you with ways to help!

The Parent Volunteer Community supports all three of our campuses. Our goals are to build community, show love to our faculty and staff, and support the school in meaningful ways. The PVC organizes ways for families to contribute towards these initiatives. Our goal is to have every parent find a way to be involved. Volunteer opportunities include regular, occasional, and one-time support. Parent involvement is critical to the success of our school, and our teachers and administrative team are truly grateful to each parent who gives time toward making our school a stronger community.

We have PVC Campus Leaders from each campus which meet regularly to help connect the campuses, build a sense of community, and learn from one another in creating best practices. Each classroom/grade level has a PVC Community Rep, and then there are many volunteer roles for specific events, projects, and areas of interest.

You can email pvc@headwaters.org for more information.
The PVC provides support on each campus, including:
  • Staff Appreciation Events, including lots of food for faculty and staff!
  • Compassion in Action (coordinated support for families in need)
  • Community-Building (social events for parents and families)
  • Library Volunteer Support at the Creek Campus
  • Garden Support at all campuses
  • Admissions event support
  • Support of our Arts & Music events
  • Support of our Athletics teams--Go Hawks!
  • Classroom materials preparation
  • Support of student social events like dances and trivia nights
  • And more! There is something for everyone!
