Welcome!
Headwaters School provides summer programming through Camp Headwaters. Offerings range from enriching play for our youngest children to thematic weeks, field trips, and adventure camps for our older campers. These educational summer programs and camps in Austin, Texas create opportunities for fun all summer long!
Programs Offered
Camp Headwaters - Early Childhood (18 months to 5 years)
Our Young Children's Community (YCC) program is for children 18 months to 3 years who are currently enrolled at Headwaters School. Our Primary program is for children ages 3-5 and is open to Headwaters students and Austin-area children.
Camp Headwaters operates on the Headwaters School Springs Campus at 6305 Menchaca Rd., Austin, TX 78745. This campus is located just south of Stassney Road and comprises three buildings and lots of space for outdoor activities.
Our camp program offers an enriching experience with themed activities and ample outdoor play. With a focus on creativity, exploration, and fun, we provide a well-rounded camp experience that keeps children engaged and excited throughout the day.
While our camp is not a Montessori program, we share some elements, including the basic structure of the day.
We are also a screen-free camp.

Camp Headwaters Creek Campus (Rising K-5)
We're excited to announce that Steve & Kate's Camp is coming back to our Creek Campus this summer! This camp is for any elementary-aged children.
Since 1980, Steve & Kate’s has empowered children to make their own choices and design their own way at camp. The children discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity as they make course corrections and learn to trust themselves as they go.
Campers choose from a variety of activities in real-time, including stop-motion animation, sewing, coding, maker crafts, baking, sports, water play, and more!
Families can buy any number of days, to use at any time–no weekly reservations or commitments required. And if your plans change, they'll refund any unused Passes automatically at the end of summer.
Lunch, snacks, & all hours (8 a.m.–6 p.m.) included.

Cancellation Policy
Any session canceled by Headwaters will be subject to a 100% refund of tuition paid. Cancellations must be made in writing to camp@headwaters.org. Cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the start of the canceled session will be eligible for a 100% refund of tuition paid minus the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made 2-4 weeks prior to the start of the canceled session will be eligible for a 50% refund of tuition paid minus the non-refundable deposit. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the canceled session will not be eligible for a refund of tuition paid. This policy stands whether or not the vacated spot is filled. -
