The courage to explore. The curiosity to discover.
This is what's at the heart of a Headwaters eduction, inside the classroom and out into the world.
Through our High School Outdoor Education program (ODL), students step into the world as explorers and leaders — marveling at the wonder of nature, navigating the Greenbelt, and all along, discovering what it means to belong to something larger than themselves.
And YOU make it all possible.
“Sometimes [during Outdoor Leadership trips] we go back to a spot we visited last year, and I’ll think—‘I remember that rock, I was too scared to climb it before.’ And this year, I’m already halfway up. It’s crazy to see how much I’ve grown without even noticing.” Max, 11th grade student.
Your support of the Annual Fund sustains exceptional programs like Outdoor Leadership, extraordinary guides who inspire every day, and an approach to excellence defined by challenge and growth. Because of you, Headwaters students have the freedom to grow, explore, and discover their own potential.
“We learn by exploring. At the hot springs, we studied micro-organisms, touched and smelled plants, and experienced the environment firsthand. This is learning I couldn’t get from a textbook.” Flora, 12th grade student.
Your support ensures that every student at Headwaters has access to formative experiences like those of Max and Flora's. Experiences that shape their character and their understanding of the world.
Today, we invite you to reflect on YOUR WHY — and to GIVE IN SUPPORT OF THEIRS.
