Lent Starts

Lent is a 40-day period of reflection, prayer, and fasting in the Christian tradition, commemorating the time Jesus spent fasting in the desert before beginning his public ministry. It begins on Ash Wednesday and ends before Easter Sunday. Many Christians, particularly Catholics, observe this season by abstaining from meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays during Lent, while still allowing fish, eggs, dairy, and plant-based foods.
