St. Nicholas Day
Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 6, especially in parts of Europe like Germany and Austria. Known as Nikolaus, the day honors a tradition of kindness and gift-giving. Children often receive small treats—like nuts, fruit, or chocolate—left in shoes or from a visiting St. Nicholas carrying a burlap sack.
