Shavuot

Shavuot is a Jewish holiday observed on the sixth day of the Hebrew month of Sivan, typically in late May or early June. It commemorates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and marks the end of the Counting of the Omer, a seven-week period of reflection following Passover. Shavuot is one of the three major pilgrimage festivals in the Jewish tradition and is often celebrated with study, prayer, and dairy foods.
