May Day
May Day, celebrated on May 1, is a traditional European festival marking the arrival of summer. With roots in ancient seasonal celebrations, it falls roughly halfway between the spring equinox and summer solstice. In some cultures, festivities begin on the evening before, known as May Eve, and often include dancing, flowers, and community gatherings.
