Cultural Exchange in Taiwan: Project Week Experience
In March 2025, nine Headwaters high school students traveled to Taiwan during Project Week through a partnership with SPIRAL International. This trip centered on cross-cultural connection, allowing students to engage directly with Taiwanese students in schools and cultural settings.
Highlights included:
Participating in cultural exchange activities and school visits
Immersing themselves in Taiwanese traditions, language, and hospitality
Reflecting on the importance of empathy and cultural awareness
“We are so proud to see students living out the international mindedness that is central to both the IB Diploma Programme and to building empathy within the Headwaters community.”
Led by Mandarin Guide Mei Hu, the group gained insight into how education, identity, and community are experienced across cultures. This trip exemplified the Headwaters mission of expanding the circle of community and understanding.
