Student Life

Middle School Athletics

All Headwaters Middle School students have the opportunity to participate in our after-school sports program.

Each season is introduced with a meeting on campus and is open for a trial period for any students interested. This is a great opportunity for students who have never played or have lots of experience. The team accepts all abilities and encourages all to join.

After the trial period, students willing to take on the challenge of being a Headwaters student-athlete commit to the team by signing the Student Athlete Code of Conduct. Teams will compete in a league with other schools from the Austin Private School Association and other local leagues, depending on the sport.

Throughout the school year we offer the following sports:
  • Flag Football (Co-Ed)
  • Volleyball (Girls)
  • Basketball (Girls and Boys)
  • Soccer (Girls and Boys)
Each sport has a dedicated coach from the Headwaters Community who works with students multiple times a week. Practices are after school and usually take place at the Austin Recreation Center, or other local athletic complexes.
